UPPER SADDLE RIVER RETREAT
This new development in Upper Saddle River posed unique challenges as the clients sought a more established backyard feel within their budget. Their objective was to create a private, Middle Eastern-inspired sunken patio featuring a custom fire pit.
They also desired a contemporary aesthetic, achieved through geometric patterns and a unique configuration of pavers, which Techo Bloc noted as a first-of-its-kind design.
The sunken fire pit and seat wall area were strategically placed near the swimming pool, but the level site created drainage issues, resolved by strip drains and basins that redirected water underground.
We collaborated with the pool house contractor to ensure seamless integration across outdoor spaces.

Lighting and plantings were used to define the distinct areas of the project, resulting in a harmonious, functional design.
The clients were thrilled with the final outcome, which surpassed their expectations and blended all the unique elements into one cohesive space.
