SUMMIT SIMPLE ELEGANCE
Upon purchasing a new home in Summit, NJ, the clients reached out to us to create a master plan. Although most of the concepts for the backyard were followed, many on-site decisions modified the final outcome. For example, the stream was reduced to a smaller scope and a fire bowl was added where the pondless feature ended.
This outdoor living space was designed to create a beautiful, functional backyard where the family can relax, entertain, and enjoy nature. A bluestone patio forms the foundation of the space for dining and lounging. A custom cedar pergola defines the dining area and adds shade and structure, while built-in lighting allows the space to be enjoyed day and night.
A modern fire feature creates a cozy gathering spot, creating a natural focal point after sunset. Nearby, a cascading water feature adds movement and a soothing sound, enhancing the peaceful atmosphere.
