FRANKLIN LAKES SANCTUARY
This Franklin Lakes client requested a landscape design that would allow them to have more usable space and structure including a pavilion, outdoor kitchen and fire table while connecting to their existing pool that needed renovation. They also wanted everything to center on an existing koi pond that needed some TLC.

One of the key design elements was the addition of a “floating patio” with a fire table next to the koi pond. Large bluestone slabs were special-ordered and secured in a way so they could be safely cantilevered over the pond.

This Franklin Lakes, New Jersey project showcases how CLC Landscape Design reimagined an existing pool and koi pond into a fully integrated outdoor living space. The design focused on enhancing how the homeowners experience the property day-to-day, introducing a custom floating patio that extends over the pond, a fire feature for gathering, and an outdoor kitchen built for entertaining. Updated hardscaping and thoughtful layout improvements helped connect each element into a seamless landscape design that feels intentional, functional, and visually striking.
The project was recognized with an Award of Excellence from the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association for its creativity and execution.
