Swimming Pools

Airmont Kid Friendly Backyard

Closter Patio and Pool

This client came to us looking to add a pool to their backyard. For this project, we designed a custom gunite swimming pool and surrounded the pool with a paver patio using Hanover pavers. To give the pool a more natural feel, we chose a dive rock instead of a traditional diving board. At the other end of the pool. we built a natural stone waterfall. An added bonus of the waterfall is that it is completely safe for kids and dogs to play in. To finish off the pool area, we selected and installed plants that are well suited for a pool landscape. We also installed a built-in barbecue on the patio. We chose a brick veneer for the built-in barbecue so that it would match the house.

Greenwood Lake Beautiful Planting

**Winner of the 2011 NJNLA Grand Award.** This client came to us with one request in terms of the plants that were to be used in this landscape design…constant color. With that in mind, all of the plants we selected are either rebloomers, long-bloomers, or they have fall foliage. A highlight of the project is the rose garden full of Knock Out Roses that we installed behind the lakeside lounge area. A stained cedar pergola with a wet bar provides the perfect area to entertain, relax, or watch some television in the comfort of the shade provided by the pergola while sitting only a few feet from the swimming pool. In the center of the design, we selected fragrant hosta to provide a subtle fragrance to the entire pool area.

Randolph, NJ Luxurious Backyard

*Winner of 2015 NJNLA Award & 2016 NJLCA Award* Our clients desired a backyard where they would completely relax. The existing site was flat, so to add interest, we created a raised dining patio by the house and a raised spa/waterfall on the backside of the swimming pool. In the sunny backyard, we designed a pergola with louvered roof so it can open in the sun and close in the rain. Our clients had a contemporary style inside their house, so we designed the patio and walk adjacent to the house with angular lines to blend with their contemporary style. As one walks away from the house towards the pool, the style of the landscaping becomes curvilinear and natural as it blends with the surrounding forest. We included elements of boulders, waterfalls, and fire in this more natural area of the landscape design.
